Hi, quick question here: I have a Blackberry 6280 (well several of them) and was wondering if this phone will operate in Australia. These phones are currently locked to a Canadian carrier and I need to know if they will work here before I go to the bother of unlocking them. I cannot make emergency calls on them and when I go to status it says no coverage - which makes me think they wont. Yet I have seen these phones advertised here on online shops but as far as I understand Optus, Telstra and Vodafone operate on the GSM 900 band, while these phones are GSM 850/1800/1900. Can someone please clarrify this for me.
