Turning off send to handheld can only be done from the handheld for bes users, bis users have to go to thier bis website through thier provider and set filter options not to send mail to the handheld.

Turning off the data under network options is only available on 4.2+ devices. So it wont help the 8700. Also this stops all data so you wont be able to web browse, im or pim w/o opening the flood gates.
