Some people may not have heard words used in certain capacities before. For instance, the only time they may have heard the word 'radio' is in regards to what you listen to while sitting on the beach working on your tan.

Here are some definitions to clarify:

GPS (Global Positioning System): A satellite based navigation system providing accuracy usable for side scan sonar surveys on a worldwide basis. GPS has become a universal, reliable positioning system.

Radio: The wireless transmission of signals, by modulation of electromagnetic waves with frequencies below those of light (Like the ones that come from the GPS satellites).

8800: A number that is discretely one greater than 8799 and one less than 8801. Also happens to be a model designation # of a reletively new BlackBerry device produced by RIM.

Combine the three and you have a powerful instrument, which, when combined with the right software (I recommend TeleNav) can produce real-time maps to assist in navigation and positioning. (i.e. going to the store to pick up some sunscreen.)
