Does anyone know if it is possible to turn the key tone off when dialing numbers?

I have turned the 'Key Tone' to 'Off' in the Screen/Keyboard options and this works for everything except when dialing a phone number. I know, I rarely dial numbers. But when I do, I don't want my phone beeping at me.
Please tell me this is an easy fix that I have just overlooked.
