I have been grappling with the "unable to connect to the server" error when attempting to go multiplayer/online with THK2.

I have found a solution, that once applied to my BB, has fixed the problem and I am now able to go multiplayer/online with the THK2 game.

Though I'm not sure how frequent the "unable to connect to the server" error is, or how often this solution will solve the problem, I thought I would share my success with the forum.

I have a BB which used to be company owned before I purchased it. When it was part of the company, it was connected to their BES. Though the former company wiped the BB clean, the old IT security policy remains on the BB unless you take specific steps to remove it.

If you have a BB which was formerly connected to a BES, you may have an IT security policy in place which could be prohibiting you from connecting you to the THK2 server. That was the problem with my BB.

After having applied the steps on the site above, I am now able to go online/multiplayer with THK2.

Please note that if you are still connected to a company BES you do not want to follow the instructions on the above site.

However, if your BB is no longer connected to a company BES but used to be, you are having problems connecting to the THK2 server, you may have a problem with an old IT security policy, and the above site may be of some assistance.
