I began a contract about 3 weeks prior and received the blackberry pearl for -75 bucks.
Now I just called and canceled my account and reapply for AT&^T to get the Curve.
The lady on the phone told me that it was canceled, but it will take place at the end of the billing cycle. She said that she can do it sooner if I wanted, but I told her that I will call and cancel when I get the device so I still have a phone to use in the mean time.
My understanding is that I will not suffer a early termination fee and the rest will be prorated. And she agreed, but the thing is she sound like a ditz and didn't know what she was talking about.
Can anyone clarify if I went through this correctly? Thanks
