I purchased a "portable Battery Charger" for the ipod. It's just a small case that you can insert two "AA" batteries into and it has a USB port on it.

technical specs are:

Operating Voltage is between DC2.2V to 3.2V
Output Voltage - 4.3V to 5.1V
Output Current - 250mA max
Under voltage shut dwn threshold - 2.1V to 2.3V
Input voltage less than 2.2V - power LED will turn off.

This item is being blown out everywhere for about $6-$9.

Will this safely recharge my Blackberry?
