Typical of ANY version of Windows. While some versions might not do it as much, (WindowsME was a hunk of crap that shouldn't have EVER seen the light of day outside of the Microsoft testing labs. WindowsXP doesn't do it AS much but still does. I have no idea and want nothing to do with Vista) I doubt that Windows will ever be 'lockup free' due to the TONS of different hardware configurations available and because it's a...uh, Microsoft product.
