I agree with the above statement. My sister-in-law bought a refurbished one and it looks brand new. All refurbished items are, in most cases, are used items that are basically brand new. Either someone used them and didn't want it and returned it. The company can't resell it as new, so you get a good discount. They also, most times, inspect the unit to ensure proper functionality before selling it. So save yourself the $225 towards the second generation iPhone
