I JUST submitted a post on this. It appears the way to deal with this is to pull the battery for 30 seconds.

That really sucks. If I've experienced this within 24 hours of owning the phone, how could RIM's QA not pick this up as a bug?

I REALLY love this phone, but I'm starting to worry that even the simple things are going to be hard for the $399 price tag of this phone.
