Crupp, image display depends on various factors. As you know emails that reach your device get stripped of HTML tags when they pass through the RIM servers. Empower tries its best to reconstruct these tags using the left-over information. If RIM strips an images completely, there is no way Empower can show it because unfortunately its just not there - was taken away even before it reached your device. Also, if you are on BES images loading may depend on the BES network policy.
At our end, I can get Gmail alerts good, Yahoo news good. But as said, it really depends on the information left by RIM in ur email and the BES settings. We are working on them trying to improve further.
