Anyone ever experience this?

I'm on VZW by the way. I try to make a call, and it just says "Connecting" the whole time. Its dead quiet on the line. After a minute or two, I get fed up and hang up. Then I try to dial again and it won't let me dial the same number again.

Trying to dial another number, the phone says "Cannot dial another number. Call in progress".

So, I try to shut the phone down, doesn't really let me do that. Then while the phone is trying to shut down, and the Verizon logo is on the screen, I hear the phone connecting (luckily I was calling an 800 number).

The only way I was able to fix this is by pulling the battery while the phone was on (dangerous). Let it sit for 10 seconds and put it back in. Then when I rebooted, I could make calls easily and I got a ton of incoming email too.

Are all blackberry's THIS problematic (I'm still within 14 day trial I could return if I want).Will I have to pull the battery every other day for my $300?
