T-mobile does not have 3G network up and running right now. So with the network you will not be able to use the 3G speeds and will just be limited to EDGE. Also you might check some of the information of the phone because all that I have found says that the 3G in this phone is only in Europe spectrums. And I am assuming there is a seperate case when you are saying an all metal case.
