Hey, Frisco [sic]. I agree that neither of those points makes sense. Surely, pulling a model has very little correlation with a business unit sale. Faulty device? Meh. Maybe there were a few OS kinks to work out, but not a reason for discontinuing.
Rehash: T-Mo has not actually pulled the 8800. It was simply removed from the list of available upgrade phones (discount w/o contract renewal for those with nearly expired or expired contracts).
This all started with a BGR or BBCool rumor that was inaccurate.
