Media Manager & Roxio Please Login to Remove! My employer requires that we use their tweaked version of the Blackberry OS. I downloaded and installed the image they provided from our intranet, but it is missing media manager & Roxio. I would assume this is to minimize the footprint and support for "non-business" type applications.
However, I paid for the phone out of my pocket and I plan to use it as I see fit - within reasonabale business guidelines of course. That being said, can I just download these components and install them as separate applications without tampering with the verision currenty installed?
The executable they had me download was a silent install, which gave me NO chance to control what was being done or what could be installed. I thought I was just extracting the binaries.
I have a Sprint 8830 (which I am very pleased with, I should add). When I do a Help --> About Desktop Manager, I get version 4.2.2.14 [April 26, 2007].
Thanks in advance, |
