I may have read this in my wireless policy document. |
Verizon's terms-of-service state that you can use up to 5gb of bandwidth a month without them looking crossways at you. How you use that bandwidth is entirely up to you, and that includes streaming. I used to stream XM radio to my Palm Treo 700p all the time using the Kinoma player, and I loved it mightily. Too bad the 700p is a steaming pile.
If you go over 5gb a month, the Verizon folks retain the right to cut you off, as they assume you're doing something naughty--like serving up torrents or something. I think they have trust issues. Can you blame them?
Meanwhile, I'm anxiously awaiting a streaming audio player for my 8830. If I understand correctly from all the searching I've done in BBF, one does not exist yet.
Hope this helps.
Cheers!
