All I know is that I'm counting down the days until at&t releases the HTC Tilt with Blackberry connect! Tired of RIM pushing half baked units out the door!

Clearly RIM have a problem with a % of 8300 units. I've not had this problem with a RIM device/design before. If it's actually as bad/prevalent as this topic would have us believe, RIM will fix it. The trick will be finding out when 'fixed' units are actually available and how to get one. Until then we seem just to be swapping units to others with the same flaw.
But beware:
- Are you sure the HTC model you're after also doesn't have the same or another design/production fault somewhere? Certainly I'd be after finding forums where this particular device is discussed.
- Last time I was involved with BB Connect (a year ago) it wasn't too great on any device I tried it on. Remember, a significant part of the BB experience for end users (notwithstanding the dust problem in the 8300) is about the device's attributes - battery life, size and weight, keyboard, usability and stability of the OS, etc. You may/may not like another device that happens to run a version of some of the BB client software as much, not least because these devices have their own OS's, email and PIM apps, etc. The question is how well the BB Connect client sits with/is/is not integrated with all of this.
