You have the correct URL in first few posts (if the server name is information), but make it a Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN). You will want to have it in this form:

http://servername.domain.com/directo...name.extension

The domain name being the intranet domain. For instance, if you worked at Microsoft and you were putting a file named test.wml into a directory called BB on a server named information (using your examples), the FQDN URL would be:

http://information.corp.microsoft.com/BB/test.wml (with corp.microsoft.com being their intranet domain). Its best to assume that your company, in some form or fashion, uses DNS to setup an internal routing domain, so use the DNS name of the machine and the DNS zone name it belongs to.
