We seem to be encountering an issue with numerous Blackberry 7250 units dropping off the data portion of the 1X network and as a result, they stop receiving email. They retain the ability to send/receive voice information. On their display, the network connectivity indicator displays '1x' instead of '1X'. (loss of data connectivity)
To resolve, I've been instructing users to perform a simple reboot via removal of the battery which regains full 1X network connectivity and email functionality is resumed. However, an increase of incident frequency over the past few days necessitates a deeper root-cause investigation. I don't believe this is a Blackberry Enterprise Server related issue as it relates to network connectivity (though it can't be ruled out).
Has anyone else experienced this type of behavior?
