So should one just pass on by when they see someone being physically abused by thugs because it's not their problem or should they try to render assistance? While it might not be your immediate problem today, left unchecked, it could well be tomorrow. As members of a society we all have a responsibility to participate in the shaping of that society. It's called "being a good citizen".
