I'm sorry, did you just compare what Verizon is doing here with being physically attacked? That is ludicrous.
Do I think what Verizon is doing is unfair or an abuse of power? Could be, but since I don't have Verizon, and it doesn't affect me, I am not all that concerned about it. More like vaguely interested enough to pay attention to it.
Did I notify my friends/co-workers who have Verizon? Absolutely!
Did I opt-out the few corporate Verizon lines I manage? Absolutely!
Since Verizon Wireless users are NOT being physically attacked (smfh) your argument in this post is pointless.
