That's precisely what I thought the source of the problem was - but I still can't figure out why messenger uses gmail (non-default) to send the request?!

Anyway - thanks! the fix worked - I hadn't notice filters could be applied on the BIS...

So, can anyone tell me why messenger uses gmail to send messenger requests and not my default mail?
