Even if you are completelly right about the cheap data plan, this exercise is to figure out a way of using as many applications as possible for free while connected to a wireless network.

And FYI, Fido and Rogers are about to release new versions of their data plans for even cheaper than they are now. Looks like Canada is finally getting some affordable data plans.
Exactly my point.While on wi-fi The phone apps should connect to their destination even without the carrier knowing about it. hope BB realizes this and fixes it in the later OSs'
