Assuming he can save files from his work computer there is a way to export calendar entries and addresses and then open them up on your home computer. (Unless there's been something done to prevent that on the work computer.) They could then be synced to the phone. However, from there the whole process would have to be repeated backwards to get the work computer to match when changes were made on the phone.

If he only needs to do it one time and then can get by with just having the phone be his main calendar, that would work. If it has to be synced back to his work Outlook for meeting scheduling and that kind of stuff, it'll probably be more trouble than it's worth.

But it is worth a call to the tech support at his work to see if they'd have some way to allow syncing. Since they allow web access, there might be a way to do this.
