actually, i have disassembled a curve with the inner retaining ring.
it is one of the first release.
so it is possible that it could be there at some devices es.

Thanks. if anyone must have larger pictures, i have them in 2816 x 2112(approximately 3mb each). but imageshack dont support img above 1.5mb
