I've tried both... they are both HTML email viewers (they don't replace the email client)... I downloaded the BBSmart trial a couple weeks ago and liked it a lot (mainly because it was the first html viewer I had tried)... the main annoyance I found with BBSmart was the time it took to load an email that had images... sure, you can turn images off, but i would rather leave images on and let them load while i was viewing the email instead of throwing up a wait dialog forcing me to wait until all images were loaded before i could read the email.

The day Empower released their new Pro version (since previous versions were not compatible with OS 4.3), I threw it on my 8130 and was instantly converted... I was disappointed when they announced the $30 price tag, but then registered immediately when they offered the discount if you buy before the end of the year and use the code they posted on this forum.

My recommendation would be to go with Empower Pro and buy it while it's on sale ;)
