Those Vodafone PPT's are not exactly the most confidential of documents, they are often sent out to their indirect channel and any information past the next quarter it was produced in is nearly always inaccurate handsets are dropped new ones are added and release dates are changed, the specs are often not even finalised, the 8110 page had a picture of the 8100 and that's due to drop on my desk on the 28th of this month!
Bhupinder Pannesar probably won't be sacked Vodafone EBU probably use the same image internally for a lot of documentation so the leak could have come from one of dozens of Vodafone staff or any one of the indirect partners

If I'm wrong, then RIM employees are pretty good at making sure misinformation goes around. Seeing as RIM doesnt directly comment, most employees don't care if they give out info that is already speculated. The big thing is that they are not to give out specific hardware/software specs. most employees only know devices by code name anyways. |
Again the codenames are not entirely secret, usually used to refer to a project before the commercial model name is decided. Ask your RIM buddy what the "Indy" is. Also from the "eyes only" presentation we got from RIM on the next "slick, consumer i-phone like device" has a much larger screen than the 9000/8920/8xxx pictures we have been seeing.
