We continue to receive a high volume of inquiries regarding the status of Documents To Go. As previously mentioned, this project is taking longer than originally anticipated and there are a few reasons for this. The main reason is that current BlackBerry devices are not equipped to allow native downloading and editing of Office files. However, RIM recently announced an upcoming BlackBerry platform update with performance enhancements including the ability to support native document downloading and editing through integration with Documents To Go. To take full advantage of this feature, users will need an update to BlackBerry Enterprise Server version 4.1.5 as well as an OS update for their BlackBerry smartphone to version 4.5.
