If you have a generic carrier's data plan, you will not have the blackberry browser. There is a blackberry-specific data plan/service which you must purchase in order to use the blackberry-branded services. I'm asking if you have that. If you do, the blackberry browser will be enabled. If you do have thw service and don't have the browser, thew solution is to resend the service books. See blackberryfaq.com and read about BIS. There is also an article on how to use blackberry with a generic data plan.
