Go buy one asap. If you just want to save pix and 20-30 songs get 1gb. Cheap. But you gotta get one for the pix you take and get sent, or you'll have memory problems unless you delete them all the time. Use JSanders link to free up memory until you have at least 1`5mb. Pull the battery with it on and see.
