If you want to wirelessly sync your email, calendar, contacts, tasks, you need BES. This also means that on your exchange server, your IT department needs to license BES as well. Most larger companies already do this, however, if you are going to be the first BB, your company may not want to go through the expense of licensing BES and maintaining it.
