Sorry for the confusion, what I meant is the part of google maps that tries to do the 'my current location' thing, which will use an on-board GPS if your cellphone carrier is not the antichrist.
The current 'you might be somewhere near this 5 mile radius' accuracy of the feature, when the GPS is disabled by said antichrist, is good enough for my current needs.
I'm considering buying a new car and getting an in-car navigation package instead of dealing with verizon's crap. Ironically enough I would rather spend 30k on a new car, than give VZW another 15$/month for a built in feature =p |
