My first one broke the same way too. It is clearly a design fault. I bought it from Wireless Wave and they have a one year replacement policy. So they gave me a new one with no complaint.

Adding to other posters comments about carefully removing from the charger, I lightly insert it just enough that the charging light turns on. The time it broke I think I had pressed it into the charger fully.

Ridiculous to have to baby it like this. And ridiculous that Aliph hasn't fixed the problem since this model has been out for a long time now.
