My screwdriver worked perfectly as did the pry bar. Now I have a new case, new keyboard, practically like a NEW 8830. I love this thing. Took about 25 minutes while watching T.V. and just remember it takes a bit of prying to get the side rails off, but go slowly and carefully and you can re-use them and have a fresh set "just in case". Don't forget the "EXTERIOR PROTECTANT"
