It basically gives you the functionality of BES 3.6 - wireless e-mail, using the e-mail client on the phone. PIM sync occurs using whatever software was supplied by the phone (not Desktop Manager). BB Connect is (IMHO) one of the greatest disappointments in the BB universe.
