I have a Sprint 8830 and, for the most part, have been happy. It does tend to lose data service occasionally (requiring me to turn off and then back on data service).

If you're using BES, you'll need the $40/month add-on. If you aren't using a BES server, then go with the $30 plan. It doesn't allow connecting to a BES server and does include Phone-As-Modem (which is another $15). But it does include unlimited text and free Sprint Navigation.
