ok heres what you need to do delete all traces of the DM including the registry and the hidden files i cant remember where they all are but they are listed here somewhere. Reinstall the DM from the WEB using service pack 1 then try reinstalling the OS .. Before you do that remove the battery and hold the power key down for one minute and see if it may power back up.
