My 8800 got wet...it was laying in a puddle of condensation from my water glass on my nightstand overnight. I dried it out in a bag of rice on my cable box for about 24 hours. There are no signs of condensation on the screen or any moisture anywhere else.
Now when I power up, I get a red light for about 5 seconds but no display.
I hear a few beeps from applications starting up, but the radio doesn't seem to work as I can't make nor receive calls. I can't confirm much of anything without a display tho.

I'm not under warranty, I don't have insurance, and I'm under a large corporate plan....so I don't get much in-store support. I'll have a pretty hard time getting my employer to replace my device, so I'm kind of on my own here.

Any other testing ideas? Based on your experience, would I be a good candidate for a replacement screen? Or do my tests show other problems.
