RIM doesn't seem to have many problems with brand loyalty overall...

But as you pointed out, the phones produced are GSM at first. More than likely they have to rebuild certain elements to work with CDMA, or at least my non-engineer-geared brain would imagine. I would think it's worth the wait to have the great phone that works properly!
