Default Cannot hear caller

I have a 8830. This is my 3rd one in 3 months. The first had data connection problems and my provider, Telus, replaced it. The second one fixed the data issues but had major audio issues. The sound was horribly amplified, the speaker simply too loud and my caller could not hear me and nor could I hear the caller in about 50% of the calls made.

Telus replaced that phone as well.

Now on my third 8830 and the current issue is that during a call, I can no longer hear the caller. They can hear me fine. Loud and clear. But I can't hear them. The call stays up the entire time. Finally I hang up and call back. In one week that I have owned this latest replacement phone, it has happened 4 times. Each time, the same symtom. The call starts, all is well and then 5 mins or so into the call, I can no longer hear them. This happens when I call other cell phones or other land lines.

Any ideas ? Is this a software problem ? The phone is still under warranty. Should I try another ?
