How do I free up memory on my device? - BlackBerryFAQ - If you're interested in getting more memory on your device, this article describes a few ways how to do just that.

Also, the easiest way (to my knowledge) to check your memory is to go to Options > Status where it will display "File Free" which is how much memory you have left on the device. If you don't already have a SD media card, that's another good way to free up memory as you can move ringtones and other media onto the card.
How do I install an SD card? I have a few extra 1gb cards in my office.
