Default Life without real snooze options stinks - 06-10-2008, 02:58 PM

Let's face it, although Palm is dead BB can't hold a candle to the PIM features of a Treo. While I was forced to move to BB, and I have now come to like it, I still miss certain aspects of my Treo. There was a great 3rd party program called DateBk that could do everything Outlook calendar could, including a snooze-until option. That's the feature I really miss. Some events require me to travel somewhere (and others are super important) so I need more prep time, and for those events I set a longer alarm time. It is then convenient to tell the device to snooze until 5 minutes (or 10, 20, 30) before the event. (If I have an early morning meeting I might set an alarm for the night before and then tell the device to snooze until 30 minutes before the real meeting time.)

Once you have this feature it becomes indispensible. (It's the single reason I resisted my company on switching to BB.) For those of you debating whether it is a valuable feature, if you never use it what do you care? Some of us would like it and it would be simple for RIM to add. It would make the BB even more usable so why not support us?

Otherwise, are there any 3rd party calendar options for BB or is it still basically a locked OS?
