Default 8800 freezes up after 4.5 upgrade - 06-16-2008, 06:45 PM

So I downloaded the latest OS, and upgraded my 8800. (After pre-testing on a 8310 that's a spare)

After upgrading, I found that the BlackBerry locks up for 10 minutes to 2 hours at a time. I could call it, the display would show network activity, but wouldn't ring, the controls didn't work, basically the phones interface went deaf.

I tracked the issues down to a jpg on my media card. The file was 16.5MB and when the file is on the card the phone doesn't work, with the file removed it works like a champ. This wasn't an issue on the pre-4.5 OS.

There are 4000 files on the media card and about 2.5GB of data. But this one file takes the phone out. The files on the media card range in size from 60K to 6MB, and cause no issues.

Has anyone else had this sort of issues?

Can anyone suggest the best way to submit this to RIM as a bug?
