Sprint isn't that bad. The customer service reps ruin it for them. As far as the service, is been great for me at least out here in California. But out of my experience 3 out of 5 times I've dealt with a decent customer service rep. Sprint also has a community forum, like here, where you can post issues and a sprint employee replys back. I actually use that option quite a bit and have issues resolved that way.
"phone as modem" option on sprint is $15 extra with any plan. I've had that for years and its a good service to have verses paying for internet service where its not free. Unfortunatly if you have the $99 unlimited plan it is $15 extra, but worth it verses $60 at verizon, as posted earlier.
Even though carriers are starting to have 5gb caps on data services, I think only the abusers will hear anything about it. If your constantly hitting 5gb every month, then I can see the carrier saying something.
