Default verichat problems - 06-12-2005, 06:40 PM

i have been reading all the posts regarding Verichat, and I don't know if my problem is the same. I am in the Cingular network withh a BB 7290. I am using Web Client.

I have it installed, and when i click on the program on my hendheld, i have the 4 icons on the top of the screen. on the bottom of the screen it says "LOGOUT" "force"

In the center of the screen it shows "YAHOO : screen name" "AIM : screen name"

how do i get it to work from here?

Custie,

I had the same problem for a week straight. After about 10-15 re-installs, I gave up because I was so frustrated. Then I decided to give it one last shot and tried the over-the-air install and it worked. So I know this isnt the best advice but keep installing/re-installing... it'll eventually work.

Custie,

Try out RAMBLE if you want to use AOL IM. It doesnt do Yahoo! but the AIM feature is rock-solid. I actually think its better than Verichat. See Mark's Instant Messaging FAQ for the link to RAMBLE.

Default blah - 06-13-2005, 04:58 PM

i tried JV's settings and still no go. Am i missing something? I am on OS 4.0. I have an unlimited data plan, so i can surf and use e-mail as much as i want for like $50 bucks. Am i missing anything else? Do i need to call Cingular and have them do anything?

this is driving me crazy.

thanks in advance again for your time
