Hi all, I've seen in many blogs that there is a new version of gmail app. My 8700g only see 1.1 available to download. Am I missing something?

No, there were reports on Lifehacker that Gmail app v1.5 had been released. That's probably what the OP is referring to. But I haven't found anything other than 1.1.
