Default JiveTalk question - 11-03-2007, 10:32 PM

Hi:

Do I have to keep AIM, googletalk, yahoo, ICQ and whatever other IM programs that are preinstalled installed on my BB if I am using jiveTalk?

I wanted to free up space and thought uninstalling these programs might help.

Thanks

I was able to get rid of two dogs, one garbage disposal AND my Dick Tracy Junior Detective Club membership and replace it with JiveTalk!

Default One last question (I hope) - 11-04-2007, 01:51 AM

Everytime I sign onto Jivetalk, i get a system message from AOL that I signed on in two different locations. For the dear life of me, I cannot figure out where the other location is signed on..

Any suggestions? Thanks

My guess is that you haven't closed down IM on a computer. Even though the computer may be off, it seems like the messenger connection with AOL can stay active if you have closed down "gracefully."

Check the system processes on the computer where you were using the AIM client. Though the user interface may have closed, there are times that the process fails to end.

I only have AIM account tied into Ichat on my macbook. I no longer have it on my windows desktop. Also, I deleted the preloaded AIM that came with the BB. I have no idea why this is happening. I don't think its loading when I use my macbook, since I don't have it set to log on automatically.

What gives?
