Exclamation Update RIM Yahoo messenger 2.0.38 - 11-27-2007, 05:32 PM

I don't know if someone noticed but it's an update available OTA to the buggy yahoo messenger 2.0.33.
So let's hope it does solve the windows live messenger contact problem.
If someone can confirm this, cause I don't have any WLM contacts online now to chat

Welcome to dealing with RIM. No GD MF release notes for anything.

How do you tell the version of yahoo messenger from the OTA link? And more importantly, do it solve the windows live messenger contact problem?

I updated YM and now it does not work. I get an error that reads "Service not enabled for this handheld". Never had a problem before. Anyone know???

After you download it try pulling the battery and see if that fixes it.

Installed the update and it looks to the same issues with the WLM contacts as the previous version did.

True, I also had the same bad expericence, this update didn't fixed anything, at least not this WML contacts problem.
Come on RIM and Yahoo, is it really a big deal to fix it??

I would just rather use jivetalk and it takes care of all my IM applications.

I recently saw that Yahoo Messenger (desktop) could handle MSN contacts. Since I only have active Yahoo and MSN accts and do very little chatting, I'm considering the free Yahoo Messenger above Jivetalk. I have to decide soon tho as my Jivetalk trial ends in a few days.

You need to put the yahoo service book on your at&t blackberry. If you search here someone will have it posted or where to download it from to install on your blackberry. All you do is restore that service book to your blackberry using the backup/restore in the desktop manager.
