Default Epocrates Software Causing my Curve to Freeze! - 11-27-2007, 11:05 PM

I just installed epocrates on my BB Curve 8310 and the software seems fast and intuitive; however now my phone freezes every twenty seconds and shows the hour glass. This happens constantly not just when epocrates is open. I tried restarting the phone but the periodic freezing continues immediately after the phone turns back on. My only solution was uninstalling the software! What's weird is it happens EXACTLY every twenty seconds like clockwork.

Even with the software installed I have 14,520,851 bytes free on my RAM and over 300 MB free on my MicroSD card so memory shouldn't be a concern.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Was the software trying to update its data?

I had the same issue. I just deleted the software and have not had a problem since.

New version of Epocrates fixes this hourglass issue. Download again at get.epocrates.com.

I've been using it for a couple months now and have not had this problem. As suggested, I would delete it and download again. It's worth a try because it's a nice program.

I'm BACK with my Curve 8310.
