There is a sticky thread in the beta you than me forum that tells all about it.

Yes, your admin has to fix it by removing you from the application control policy.

Can someone please clarify what everyone refers to by "browser cache"? I see Content Cache, Pushed Content, and Cookie Cache. Which one do I need to clear? I'm asking because it's a pain to clear cookie cache and have all of my logins forgotten.
And I'm still only getting 2.2.2 as well.

Content cache + refresh didn't work. I also did a soft reset for good measure. Whatever, maybe someday it will magically work.

Dunno if it matters, but it says I have a "Blackberry 42." I'm running 4.5 so I think it would at least say 43..?

The voice search in GMM 2.2.2 does NOT work at all with OS 4.5, at least in my experience. GMM 2.2.3 does NOT have the voice search feature. Maybe since Google couldn't make it work for all 'berries in all situations, they pulled the feature from the software ???

I guess I'm staying with 2.2.2 as well...voice commands working great every time for me.

Original 8100 Pearl, OS: 4.2.0.71

Not as nice as the TellMe app, IMO. Pretty cool when using satellite view though, as it takes you right to the search result on the map along with all the other info. Maybe this will be a voice command option(down the line when/if they get it working for all BBs in later versions) if a Bold compatible version of TellMe never gets released.

Another cool thing regarding the satellite view: if you use the voice command for say, ace hardware, it shows all the locations in town on the map. Not bad.

Edit:

After playing around for a few minutes the Google voice command has more "toys" to play with than the TellMe app. I'd probably use it in situations when I'm not driving. Pretty fun to play with. The TellMe app has a bare bones map feature. TellMe looks very professional but aside from that will be much better for use when driving. Larger text, easier to read and fewer clicks to make the call.

Edit again: I may have to uninstall as it seems to be interfering with the TellMe app. I get a connection not available message, which I've never gotten before with TellMe. Bummer.

another edit: nope, soft reset fixed the issue, both working. All is right in my voice command world.

Just one more question....is that new for OS 4.5? I never had trouble with Gmaps before I installed it.

I downloaded version 2.2.3 and now it shows my location as India??????? Can anyone please explain why?
I am in the US. Version 2.2.0 worked fine with my finding location.

Hmmm... The App works but won't show my Location?

Am I missing something? lol I mean, I'm in the middle of nowhere, but I should still be showing up. Do I have to enable my GPS somehow?

Damn Bell Mobility!

does this program require you to have a data plan or can it be used without one?

It uses data... lots and lots of data to download the maps as you move around your city/town/world.

How can i make it not to blank my screen?
I want to make a display to be highlighted all the time.

There is nothing like this in options.

It's really uncomfortable when i'm driving.

2.3.1 is out. Has a new icon. Have it on an 8830 running 4.5.0.77. So far it's loading satellite view noticeably faster than previous versions.
